All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Description The Staff/Project Engineer will provide engineering and technical support for Operations, Marketing, and Special Projects, which may include: Developing and drafting engineering solutions Regulation review and interpretation Participating in incident investigations Vendor monitoring Technical report writing This position will be based out of AKITA's Nisku, Alberta, Canada office.   Position Requirements Bachelor's degree or Technical Diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related engineering discipline or equivalent experience Demonstrated ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams Three years experience in a heavy equipment environment preferred Physical ability to climb equipment and move about in tight spaces Training in Autocad Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor Effective verbal and written communication Knowledge of Drilling Operational Processes preferred Mechanical Equipment Design/Industrial Fabrication experience Knowledge of Welding/Welding Procedures Capable of temporarily working outdoors in all conditions Knowledge of QA Systems as applicable to Manufacturing/Oil & Gas   Position Staff/Project Engineer   About the Organization AKITA Drilling is an onshore drilling rig service provider that works with leading operators around the world.
