  • Job Title: Field Service Mechanic Foreman

    Reports To: Equipment & Property Manager

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt  

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Field Service Mechanic Foreman leads all mobile diagnostic and repair operations for diesel- and gas-powered construction fleet vehicles and trailers. This position oversees field mechanics, coordinates site-based maintenance, enforces safety protocols, and ensures preventative maintenance (PM) schedules are met. The Foreman serves as the mobile repair team's technical lead, scheduler, and quality control specialist, supporting mission-critical equipment needs across active job sites.

     

    YOUR ROLE

    • Perform advanced diagnostics and oversee complex field repairs including injectors, transmissions, emissions systems, and brake faults.
    • Supervise field mechanics conducting PMs, electrical troubleshooting, trailer repairs, and mobile welding/fabrication work.
    • Use diagnostic software (e.g., Equipment360, PRO-DEMAND) and scan tools to log repairs, complete PMs, and verify jobsite records.
    • Coordinate mobile service truck usage, inventory control (filters, fluids, DEF), and hazardous material handling on active job sites.
    • Manage daily scheduling of mobile work orders, triage service calls, and dispatch field mechanics based on skill fit and urgency.
    • Collaborate with operations, project managers, and shop leadership to align mobile repair work with project timelines and equipment availability.
    • Mentor and coach field mechanics through live diagnostics, jobsite walk-throughs, and performance feedback.
    • Approve field repairs, review work orders for accuracy, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
    • Lead mobile safety meetings and enforce protocols for Lockout/Tagout, battery handling, PPE, hot work, and jobsite hazards.
    • Support Equipment Manager in vendor reviews, field budgeting needs, SOP development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Represent mobile services in EOS scorecard meetings, operations planning, and interdepartmental communications.
    • Maintain field tools, service truck organization, and welding trailer readiness; track usage, compliance, and equipment assignments.
    • Identify training gaps and promote vendor-led certification and technical development opportunities for mobile staff.
    • Lead jobsite coordination for trailer PMs, field-based installations, and remote service events.
    • Communicate clearly via phone, email, and tablet with vendors, field leaders, mechanics, and internal stakeholders.

     

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment and diesel truck repair experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or mobile role.
    • Expert proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems diagnostics and repair.
    • Advanced understanding of fleet maintenance software, PM intervals, and mobile repair best practices.
    • Ability to read schematics, interpret OEM manuals, and apply diagnostic processes in field environments.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage mobile scheduling, inventory tracking, and team assignments.
    • Demonstrated leadership in field safety, compliance, and performance coaching.
    • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred) with a clean driving record.
    • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform duties in various outdoor jobsite conditions.
    • Hands-on experience with Peterbilt, Ford, and other diesel platforms.
    • Familiarity with Equipment360, GPS tracking systems, and scan tool operation.
    • Experience leading field repairs for trailers, safety lighting, and mobile accessories.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds, frequently bend, kneel, squat, and climb in and out of service trucks or onto equipment. Must be able to stand and work for extended periods in outdoor environments, including extreme heat, cold, or inclement weather. Requires manual dexterity to operate tools, diagnostic equipment, and controls. Visual and auditory acuity is necessary to identify mechanical issues, interpret diagnostics, and communicate effectively in loud jobsite environments. Occasional overnight travel or night work may be required depending on project needs.

  • Job Title: Excavator Operator

    Reports To: Foreman

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt  

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under the direction of the Foreman, the Excavator Operator performs trenching, grading, backfilling, and structure excavation to support underground utility installation and site preparation. The Operator is responsible for using various attachments, interpreting cut sheets, and executing excavation with accuracy and adherence to safety regulations.

     

    YOUR ROLE

    • Operates excavators for trenching, grading, backfilling, and structure installation per project plans
    • Uses appropriate attachments and follows layout, grade stakes, and spotter direction
    • Completes pre-op inspections and follows safe startup, shutdown, and trench safety procedures
    • Identifies soil conditions and adjusts excavation methods as needed
    • Loads trucks, installs trench boxes, and performs safe material handling
    • Maintains clean, safe work zones and communicates effectively with crew
    • Tracks daily production and supports haul-off and backfill operations

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • Minimum 5 years of experience operating excavators in civil construction or utility environments
    • Experience with trenching for water, sewer, or storm drain systems strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with trench boxes, shoring equipment, and OSHA trench safety compliance required

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Senior Human Resources Generalist is a strategic and operational HR leader responsible for managing full-cycle HR functions across all departments, with a focus on legal compliance, employee relations, performance management, and onboarding excellence. Reporting to the Director of HR & Administration, this role oversees complex HR deliverables and acts as a trusted advisor to leadership, while mentoring generalist-level staff and ensuring audit-ready documentation. The Sr. HR Generalist leads process improvement efforts across Spectrum, JotForm, and other platforms, aligning HR initiatives with company values, safety protocols, and EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) priorities.

     

    YOUR ROLE

    • Leads full-cycle HR execution including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, terminations, and compliance documentation.
    • Applies advanced knowledge of employment laws (ADA, FMLA, COBRA, EEO) to investigations, corrective actions, and company policy enforcement.
    • Oversees HRIS data accuracy in Spectrum and supports compliance reporting for audits, payroll, benefits, and legal documentation.

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
    • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience required, preferably in a construction, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
    • PHR or SPHR certification required.

The position also demands prolonged periods of sitting while conducting office tasks, as well as the ability to visually assess work environments and interact with personnel in various locations.   • Job Title: Fuel Service Truck Driver - Yoakum

    Reports To: Foreman

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt  

     

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under general supervision, the Fuel & Service Truck Driver is responsible for operating the fuel/service truck and conducting basic preventative maintenance (PMs) on fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles.  

     

    YOUR ROLE

    • Operates fuel truck on a daily basis in a safe and efficient manner.
    • Inspects equipment in the field and performs daily service as needed (e.g. grease fittings).
    • Conducts minor mechanical repairs and performs preventative maintenance on fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles.  
    • Ensures that fuel and equipment are kept filled daily.
    • Disposes of all waste oil and filters in a proper manner.
    • Completes required paperwork on a daily basis.
    • Communicates urgent or major repairs needed on equipment to Foreman, as needed.
    • Performs additional responsibilities, as assigned
       

    WHAT YOU BRING

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
    • Three to five years related experience and/or training.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    The Fuel & Service Truck Driver must regularly stand, walk, use their hands to handle objects, reach with their arms, lift above their head, and communicate. They are also required to kneel, crouch, stoop, climb ladders, bend, squat, and crawl in tight spaces. The role involves frequently lifting, moving, or pushing up to 75 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and color vision. The job necessitates ascending and descending stairs and navigating uneven terrain. Driving a vehicle is essential, and the driver will spend time at both job sites and in a mechanic shop.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The Equipment Coordinator is responsible for organizing, tracking, and managing all data and documentation related to E-Z Bel Construction’s fleet and equipment. This includes lifecycle tracking, fuel logs, inspections, GPS monitoring, compliance records, and communication with vendors and field crews. The role supports mechanics, yard teams, and field personnel with timely coordination of equipment assets, and grows into leadership and audit responsibilities over time.

     

    YOUR ROLE

    • Tracks equipment activity using Geotab GPS, fuel usage, inspections, and work orders
    • Inputs and maintains accurate records for deliveries, assignments, disposals, maintenance, and registrations
    • Logs and monitors cost data related to fuel, repairs, and vendor purchases
    • Organizes equipment files (physical and digital) including keys, gas cards, license plates, and compliance documents
    • Ensures lifecycle documentation is complete from acquisition through retirement
    • Monitors inspection and registration timelines to ensure fleet compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies
    • Restocks and audits vehicle first aid kits; files safety forms and follows up on deficiencies
    • Conducts internal audits on equipment tracking systems and implements corrective action as needed

    WHAT YOU BRING

    The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting Department in executing daily financial tasks with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and process integrity.     YOUR ROLE

    • Assist with invoice processing, data entry, and document organization for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

    The Asphalt Raker is responsible for the proper placement, distribution, and finishing of hot mix asphalt during paving operations. This role supports the paving crew by ensuring material is raked to the correct slope, thickness, and transitions while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and teamwork.

     

    YOUR ROLE

    • Understands the full process of asphalt paving, raking patterns, and surface finishing.
    • Uses an asphalt rake to evenly distribute material behind the paver and adjust edges, transitions, and tie-ins to curbs, driveways, ADA ramps, and drainage features.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Junior Estimator is an entry-level, administrative-focused role that supports the estimating team by organizing project data, maintaining records, and assisting with bid preparation.     The Superintendent oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of both overhead and underground traffic signal systems and associated concrete work.     Under the direction of the Foreman, the Utility Laborer provides experienced support to the crew by performing a variety of construction tasks across different divisions. Utility Laborers may operate intermediate equipment such as small hoists, compactors, and bobcats. Responsibilities include site preparation, trenching, shoring, and assisting with the layout of job sites. This role requires at least 1-2 years of construction experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Traffic Signal Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of traffic signal systems and related equipment.     YOUR ROLE

    • Install, maintain, and repair traffic signal systems, including signal poles, controllers, cabinets, and related components.
    • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning traffic signal equipment and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
    • Perform preventive maintenance on traffic signals and associated equipment to minimize system downtime.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under the direction of the Foreman, the Pipe Layer is responsible for the installation of underground pipes ranging in size from 6” to 72”. This includes positioning, aligning, and joining pipes to meet proper depths, angles, and grades as specified in project plans. The Pipe Layer plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of excavating and installation activities while maintaining clear communication with team members.

     

    YOUR ROLE

    • Select and assemble the necessary tools, pipe types, fittings, valves, and couplings according to project plans and specifications.

    • Signal concrete delivery trucks to position properly for efficient pouring.
